Chief Executive magazine

Chief Executive magazine, founded in 1977, is the source of information and intelligence that supports the chief executive officer. It is the only magazine written strictly for CEOs and their peers and is the leading source of intelligence for and about CEOs. Chief Executive provides ideas, strategies and tactics for top executive leaders who are seeking to build more effective organizations. It conveys the full range of the CEO experience: the corporate challenges as well as the personal pressures and satisfactions that come with the most demanding job in business. The magazine serves its CEO audience via a variety of media, including print, in-person and online, fostering opportunities for CEOs to share their experiences and expertise within a community of peers. Chief Executive events bring CEOs together through its annual CEO2CEO Leadership Summit , open to C-suite executives, its annual CEO of the Year celebration, and its CEO Roundtables.

Chief Executive's regular corporate rankings include " The 20 Best Companies for Leaders ," naming the top firms that attract, develop and retain corporate leaders, and " The Best and Worst States for Business ," ranking the business environment in all 50 US states. The magazine also publishes: annual CEO compensation rankings, comparing top executive pay to past compensation and corporate performance; an annual "Route to the Top" analysis with the latest stats on today’s top executives; and a monthly "CEO Confidence Index," which offer a unique perspective on the economy and future business plans. The CEO Confidence Index results are announced monthly on CNBC's "Squawkbox" program.
